A Civil Rights Campaign:
Disabled Vote Bank and our Political Manifesto

‘Numbering a 100 million people and families, mainly in the poorer areas of the country’s rural, tribal and urban slum areas, the disabled people have no representation in Parliament. Political apathy and indifference have been factors haunting disabled people as they lie depoliticized and politicians think they are not voters! We have come out with our own political manifesto or charter. Our ‘Political Charter’ hopes to bring disabled out of the political wilderness they are in, by turning them into an influential voters lobby. We have drafted a political charter for ‘the disabled vote’, under which the voter will be appealed to vote for that party which will support disability’ - Padmashri Mithu Alur, Founder Chairperson
