For three decades, services provided by ADAPT for children and young adults with disabilities, have continued to grow and evolve. ADAPT’s services are provided at a subsidized cost to our beneficiaries. A sliding scale ensures that beneficiaries and their families make contributions based on their socio-economic stratus. The difference in cost between the subsidized services and the beneficiary contribution is generated through donations and various annual fund raising events.
Annual Fund Raising Events
Star Collection
Students from mainstream school’s raise funds for ADAPT through their families and friends. Principals of participating schools, teachers and students are felicitated at ADAPT’s annual grand ‘Star’ crowning ceremony.
Mumbai Marathon
ADAPT’s participation in the city’s premier sports events- The Mumbai Marathon, provides a platform to create awareness and raise funds, through the participation of corporations, celebrities and individuals who “run” to support our cause.
Annual Show
Our students are the ‘stars’ at our annual variety entertainment show. Each year the audience is enchanted as able and disabled children from ADAPT and our partner schools come together in an ‘inclusive’ evening of music, dance and drama. Funds for this event are raised by donations and advertisements placed in the annual show souvenir.
I Can Bazaar
Awareness and revenue generation go hand in hand at our annual I Can Bazaar which showcases a wide range of colorful products made by our students, trainees and members of our women’s empowerment group – Narika Shakti.
Inclusive Mela
Games, skills contests and other competitions at our Inclusive Mela, provide yet another platform for our students to interact with fellow students from partner schools. ADAPT’s handcrafted products are sold at this popular inclusive event.
Donations in kind
Also go a long way in supporting ADAPT’s services and infrastructural facilities by providing much needed equipment, furniture, aids and appliances for our organization.
